Door gift ideas - What to put in the canisters / box / jars?

Often I receive a Frequently Asked Question.
"What should I put inside the canisters?"
Well, I hope my answers below will help you to decide or at least inspire you to get ideas on what to give your special guests on your special day.

Here are some ideas on what to put in the canisters.

These are great for Nikah, Reception, Bertandang and Aqiqah. 

1. Dates
2. Other dried fruits eg: kiwi, peach, raisins
3. Pistachios
4. Sugar cookies / Fondant cookies
5. Chocolates - so many shapes you can find in the market.
such as; egg shape/ coin shape / heart shape / kisses / and also
chocolates with customized pengantin names (so the guests can
actually eat you!) 
6. Little teddies - great for Akikah

You can also put some other non-edible items like;

1. Tasbih
2. Keychains
3. Soap
4. Bath salt
5. Chiffon shawl
6. Brooch (a suitable gift for your bridesmaids/besties, maybe?)

For children, you might consider these;

1. Marshmallows
2. Chocolates / sweets / candies
3. Vitamin pastilles -which you can separate them into smaller packs. (I'm more excited if i get these for my kids compared to sweets which can rotten their teeth).
4. Stickers
5. Short color pencils
6. Costume jewellery such as; bangles/bracelets/necklace/earrings
7. Make up; eye shadows/lipstick <- great for barbie/princess theme party


Just in case you think you want to level up the items, or you feel that they are a little bit empty, you can always put some shredded paper or 'birds nest'. You can find them at the wedding supply shops. They come in various colors that can suit to your theme. The items inside won't move around much which this is really a good idea if the item is likely and easily broken or shatters. We don't want that, don't we. Furthermore it does gives some weight to your canisters.
